once you've had air con there is no going back..that said we only have it in the bedrooms -and even on "nighttime" mode I find it too noisy to sleep. We have a big unit on the outer wall and loads of pipes in the attic - little units inside each bedroom...If I did it again I think I'd try for a more hotel-like solution where basically cold air gently and silently arrives in the bedrooms with all the work and noise being done elsewhere, on my neighbour's side of the house lol
I guess you are too far from me for it to be relevant but if it is a big firm I'd be interested to know who does your a/c work - if you recommend them...the people who put mine in have proved very flakey at coming to service it - as you know I am in Suffolk
